kursk:the 9th chamber 2005-2008
kursk:the 9th chamber was a devised theatre project initiated by Mark Anstee and director Mark Espiner, based on the Russian nuclear submarine disaster of 2000.
It was developed in conjunction with theatre company Sound & Fury, (Mark Espiner, Tom Espiner and Dan Jones), producers Fuel (Kate Mc Grath and Louise Blackwell), the Arvon Foundation, and the National Theatre Studio.
The project involved various collaborators over its 3 years of R&D and has subsequently become a successful touring production scripted by Bryony Lavery.
